What You’ll Do

You will play a vital role in supporting individuals to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide person‑centred care and support to children and young people and their families, focusing on empowerment, participation, dignity and respect.

Additional Information

  • Grade of the post: H/I.
  • Rate of pay includes a Distant Islands Allowance of £1.48 per hour.
  • 1 full‑time post of 37 weekly hours, 52.18 weeks per year.
  • Preferred candidates will join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check prior to offer.
  • Successful candidate must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) when they begin in post.
  • No relocation package applies.
  • Interview expenses will be paid from within Shetland.
  • Ability to travel throughout Shetland at short notice is required.
  • Flexible working arrangements may be discussed.
