To assist in the management and education of children and young people with additional support needs (ASN). A Learning Support Worker may work with any child or group of children, either within a department or within a mainstream class, under the guidance of teachers. Responsibilities may include supporting the implementation of an individualised education programme and collaborating with professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and child psychologists.

Additional Information
- The grade of this post is F/G. This post is not career graded; a successful candidate will be employed as either a Qualified or Unqualified Learning Support Worker.
- Salary and duties will be determined based on the person specification.
- The rate of pay includes a Distant Islands Allowance of £1.5523 per hour.
- Permanent part‑time post: 30.0 hours per week, 39 weeks per year plus 6.24 weeks pro‑rata paid holiday.
- Preferred candidates will be required to join or update their Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme before a formal offer is made.

- A relocation package does not apply.
- Interview expenses will be paid from within Shetland.
