Marketing and Communications Officer Role

As Marketing and Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our marketing efforts across Living Sport and the Healthy You service, collaborating closely with colleagues within the charity and engaging with external partners to achieve our objectives. You will be responsible for designing and producing marketing materials, optimising our online presence, handling CRM database tasks, and assisting with event management.

Location: Hybrid/Remote 2 days per week at St Ives Office

Terms: Full-time - permanent - 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Analytics and Reporting: Utilise tools like GA4, SEMRush and other digital insight tools to analyse website traffic, campaign effectiveness and KPIs.
  • CRM Database Management: Ensure the CRM database is up-to-date and accurate. Input and extract data, perform target segmentation, and support team members on CRM usage. Research and source contact information for key stakeholders.
  • Event Management: Assist in organising Living Sport\'s key events, including conferences, social gatherings, and large challenge activities.
  • Graphic Design: Design and produce marketing collateral such as internal and external newsletters, case studies, posters, flyers, leaflets, videos etc.
  • Print Production: Manage print production with external printers to ensure quality and timely delivery. Handle storage and distribution logistics for printed materials.
  • External Partnerships: Collaborate with media, agencies, and external partners to promote Living Sport and activities, ensuring effective communication and partnership management.
  • Campaign Development: Assist with the development of Living Sport and Healthy You campaigns, including maintaining project timelines, priorities, and reporting.
  • Social media: Support our social media strategy, paid ads, and email marketing to grow supporter engagement and donations.
  • Copywriting and Content creation: Create compelling stories, blogs, and videos that showcase our work and impact on our website.

About you

  • Proven experience in marketing or similar roles
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling ability
  • Experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics, social insights)
  • Experience using WordPress/Elementor or equivalent
  • Experience using a CRM system
  • Excellent design and editing skills, proficient in using Canva – video editing experience e.g. Capcut or Adobe Express, is advantageous
  • Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Project management
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office
