Location: Padiham Town Hall. Age UK Lancashire are looking for an Administration Assistant to provide vital support to our Living Well Support Service. Nobody wants to stay in hospital for longer than they need to, and the pressure on the NHS to discharge patients as soon as they are medically fit is considerable. Providing essential support to patients over the age of 18 who are at risk of admission and have been discharged from hospital, the Living Well Support Service helps to ensure a smooth transition home.

Responsibilities

  • Take patients home directly from the hospital and settle them back at home.
  • Provide continued support for up to 6 weeks, supporting people to remain independent.
  • Provide support to individuals who are at risk of admission.
  • Support the team with data management and day-to-day administration, including contributing to the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports.

Details

  • Salary: £22,467.50 FTE
  • Hours: 20 hours per week. Working 5-hour shifts over 4 days between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
  • Reference: LWSS012
  • Location: Padiham Town Hall (with some travel to Royal Blackburn or Burnley General Hospital sites).
  • DBS: This post is eligible for a basic DBS check and all associated costs will be met by the employee. The DBS cost is £21.50 plus an admin fee of £5.40 totaling £26.90, deducted from the first salary with Age UK Lancashire.
