About the Role:

Mears Group provides housing and care services across the UK, with a strong focus on supported living. We’re currently looking for Support Workers in Turriff, there will be a mixture of Full Time, Part Time and weekend shifts available.

In this role, you’ll help people live independently by supporting them with daily tasks, personal care and social activities at home and in the community. You’ll be part of a caring team that treats every individual with respect and compassion.

No two days are the same, and you’ll find real reward in making a difference to someone’s life. Because of the rural location, a full UK driving licence is preferred.

Key Criteria:

  • Deliver person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing
  • Support with personal care, hygiene and medication
  • Assist with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping
  • Help individuals maintain daily routines and develop life skills
  • Accompany service users to appointments, clubs and community activities
  • Organise and participate in day trips and social outings
  • Support with hobbies and interests including arts and crafts, gardening and sports
  • Encourage engagement in social visits to restaurants, pubs and local events
  • Maintain accurate records and follow care plans and safeguarding procedures
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for helping others
  • Show compassion, patience and empathy in all interactions
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families and colleagues
  • Work reliably, flexibly and proactively to meet individual needs
  • Treat every service user with dignity and respect
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team
