Location: Northeast β field based
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: up to Β£32,510.38 per annum, plus commercial vehicle & fuel card
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am β 5.00pm
As a PAT Tester you will be required to visit approximately 10 tenanted properties per day across the Northeast, travelling between locations as part of daily duties. The role involves testing Mears supplied white goods, including fridges, kettles, microwaves, irons, hoovers and washing machines. The successful candidate must accurately complete testing documentation, recording appliance details and electrical readings, and capture clear before and after photographs of each item using a PDA, including images of the appliance and the PAT testing label. The tester may also be required to request photographs of white goods to confirm identification. Any failed items must be reported promptly to the Facilities Supervisor. Appliances such as fridges and washing machines must not be removed, as replacements will be arranged by the Facilities Supervisor. This role will be lone working unless a 2-person visit is required.

All roles require entitlement to work in the UK; Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship. To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months and have fewer than 9 points. As part of the recruitment process, we will carry out Background, Identity, Security clearance & BPSS checks. We will require identification documents (Proof of Address), References, a valid passport and proof of UK residence for the last 5 years.
