Business Support Apprentice
Manchester – office based
Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Fixed term contract
Salary:
- 16yrs – 17yrs: £7.71ph
- Over 18yrs: £10.71ph
- Over 21yrs: £12.21ph

About the role
During your apprenticeship within the Manchester branch, you will be part of the call centre customer service team. The main duties will be supporting the team with general administration role. To listen, observe and participate in a range of tasks which will enable you gain new skills and knowledge that contribute to the successful achievement of the apprenticeship programme. You will be involved in lots of different duties including:
- Liaising and communicating with stakeholders, clients and contractors
- Compile reports
- Answering queries, complaints and compliments via email or phone
- Undertake administrative tasks such as typing up notes and attending meetings
Reception duties:
- Meeting and greeting visitors
- Production of visitor passes and reception security
- Post room duties such as dealing with incoming and outgoing mail and parcels
- Order, distribute and maintain stationery stock levels
- Carry out any ad-hoc administration duties plus printing, binding and laminating of documents that is required by the business
- Ensuring office compliance by arranging any annual compliance testing that is required
- Ensuring documentation is in date and working with building landlord to allow access to offices as needed
Role Criteria:
- GCSE Grade 4 or above in both Math’s and English
- Organised, reliable and adaptable
- A strong work ethic
- Honest / trustworthy and demonstrate the ability to work using own initiative as well as working as part of a team
- Positive attitude and the ability to keep calm under pressure
- Capacity to absorb new information quickly and accurately
- Self-motivated, self-disciplined and enthusiastic
- Attention to detail
