Salary up to £42,020.69 per annum, plus company van & fuel card

42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in ensuring void properties are electrically safe, compliant, and ready for new residents. The role focuses primarily on electrical works within empty homes, including EICR testing, repairs, upgrades, and preparing properties for re-let. You’ll also support with essential repair works where required, helping ensure each property meets the highest standards before occupation.

With a strong pipeline of void refurbishments and continued growth in the area, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a team making a real impact in the community. Electrical Duties

  • Carry out electrical testing and inspection of void properties (EICRs), including completing and correcting all C1 and C2 observations
  • Complete reactive electrical repairs in voids as required, including lighting circuits, sockets, fuseboards and other domestic systems
  • Carry out both first and second fix works — first fix wiring into walls and second fix to complete and tidy installations
  • Full and partial rewires within empty homes
  • Electrical works linked to kitchen and bathroom upgrades
  • Install electric showers where needed
  • Add new circuits and remove unsafe or DIY electrical works commonly found in empty properties
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as switches, outlets, fittings and breakers
  • Work independently or with the team to meet daily targets for void turnaround and electrical testing
  • Ensure workspaces are left clean, tidy and safe
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and clear communication when liaising with internal teams
  • Respond to emergency callouts or urgent void-related issues when required
  • Use IT systems to manage and prioritise a varied workload effectively

Role Criteria

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations - to include AM2
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition (If you have 17th edition you can work through your 18th edition)
  • Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
  • Previous domestic, social housing experience
  • Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395) preferable
