Job Description

The Resident Liaison Officer will support the delivery of the retrofit programme by acting as a key point of contact for residents throughout the project.

Working closely with the project team, contractors and surveyors, the RLO will help keep residents informed, assist with appointment coordination and provide support to ensure the programme runs smoothly.

The role involves building positive relationships with residents, helping to resolve any queries and supporting access to properties for surveys and installation works where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resident Communication
  • Build positive relationships with residents throughout the project.
  • Keep residents informed about upcoming surveys and works.
  • Respond to resident queries and direct concerns to the appropriate team member where necessary.
  • Help ensure residents have a clear understanding of the project and planned works.
  • Appointment Support
  • Assist with arranging and confirming appointments for surveys and installation works.
  • Contact residents by telephone, email or text to confirm appointments.
  • Carry out door knocking where residents have not responded to other methods of communication.
  • Liaise with the project team to help minimise missed appointments.
  • On-Site Support
  • Meet surveyors or contractors on site when required.
  • Help facilitate access to properties where appropriate.
  • Provide residents with information before and during works.
  • Support residents throughout the project and escalate any issues to the Project Manager.
  • Resident Engagement

In line with the resident engagement process, the RLO will support residents through each stage of the programme, including:

  • Initial resident introductions.
  • Retrofit assessment appointments.
  • Project handover.

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer or in a similar customer-facing role.
  • Experience working within social housing.
  • Understanding of resident engagement within planned works programmes.
