We have an exciting opportunity to learn all the skills required to become a qualified tradesperson within our In-house Maintenance Service (IMS) team.
You will be based in the Exeter or Barnstaple area and should live within 30 minutes of these locations. The role will involve a carpentry apprenticeship and daily travel to customers’ homes to carry out regular maintenance jobs. Each day will be different and you’ll work across multiple teams and locations.
The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering world-class customer service and committed to continual learning. The apprenticeship is available to anyone aged 16–65. Part-time and flexible working may be available; a minimum of 30 hours per week will be required. You will need to travel to a LiveWest office or a pre‑agreed meeting point each day. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
A full UK, manual‑driving licence will be essential for future employment and must be in place by the end of the apprenticeship.
About The Candidate
- Awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Good computer skills, including use of handheld smartphone or tablet PC.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, or willingness to complete Functional Skills assessment.
- Desirable: Experience working in customers’ homes.
- Desirable: Experience in a customer service environment.
