Are you an experienced Roofer looking to make a difference in your community?

Join our Internal Maintenance Service (IMS) team at Live West and help us maintain safe, high-quality homes for our customers.

As a Roofer, you’ll carry out responsive and planned roofing repairs, installations, and maintenance across our housing stock, ensuring excellent service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all forms of planned and responsive roofing works, including pitched and flat roof systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults to roofing elements, including lead valleys, flashings, box gutters, and felt systems.
  • Deliver all work to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and service specifications.
  • Provide excellent customer care and act as a professional ambassador in residents’ homes.
  • Identify the scope of reported defects and carry out or recommend appropriate remedial actions.
  • Estimate and requisition materials to ensure timely and effective repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records using handheld devices.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies, including fleet safety.

Torquay and you should be based within a 30 minute commute of this area.

Skills

  • Fully competent in all aspects of roofing, including pitched and flat roofs, lead work, and felt systems.
  • Experienced in diagnosing and repairing roofing faults.
  • Comfortable using mobile technology to manage job information.
  • Aware of Health and Safety procedures and responsive maintenance practices.
  • Customer-focused, professional, and able to work independently.
  • Desirable: Experience working in customers’ homes.

Qualifications Required

  • Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in roofing.
  • Good general education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.

Please note: This role is not eligible for a Cos. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role without a Co S.
