About The Role

At LiveWest, we are looking for a dynamic and compassionate Team Manager to lead our supported accommodation service in West Cornwall—and we’d love to hear from you. As a Team Manager, you will be at the heart of a service that empowers young people to overcome homelessness and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspiring and leading a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed support.
- Driving performance and outcomes, ensuring targets and standards are met with care and consistency.
- Supporting staff resilience, helping practitioners stay solution-focused and persistent in the face of challenges.
- Building strong relationships with young people, colleagues, and partner agencies to create a network of support.
- Overseeing service delivery, from risk assessments to multi-agency meetings and group activities.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week and may include bank holidays. Bandwidth hours will be 8 am to 10 pm. You will predominantly work on scheme, Monday to Friday with a flexible approach to hours as team members will work shifts. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups. Appointment to this role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
About The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the role of Team Manager - Young People, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 2 role and the following role specific skills and experience:
- An ability to provide a high-quality level of supervision to support the team.
- Management oversight for the young people open to your team.
- Good leadership skills and a proven track record for delivering good outcomes for children and young people is required.
- Ability to make good quality judgments and sound decisions in situations of increasing complexity, risk, uncertainty and challenge.
- Evidence of knowledge of child in need, child protection and safeguarding.
- An ability to build sound, productive working relationships with young people, colleagues and partners.
- Ability to maintain records and write high quality written reports which are suitable for a variety of professional settings.
- Innovative and creative in your ways of working.
- Resilient and flexible in dealing with others.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
The most important part of this role is to have pride in your work and have a positive attitude, a proactive approach and the confidence to support a diverse range of young people. You will be able to balance your passion and commitment with good organisational skills, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
Please note: This role is not eligible for a CoS. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role without a CoS.
