About The Role

Are you passionate about supporting others to rebuild their lives? We’re looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Bristol, working with adult males with enduring mental health and adult social care support needs. This is a low-support service, focused on helping individuals maintain their tenancies and live independently. This also includes empowering residents, encouraging social inclusion, supporting with benefits, bills and budgeting, and exploring employment, education and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide housing-related support tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and tenancy sustainment.
  • Build trusting, respectful relationships with customers and partner agencies.
  • Support customers to access training, employment, and community opportunities.
  • Carry out risk assessments and develop personal support plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service targets.

This role is being offered on a part time basis working 14.8 hours per week, based at our service in Lavender Court, Bristol. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups. Appointment to this role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Support Worker - Supported Housing, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally in housing or homelessness services.
  • Understands the challenges faced by people transitioning from homelessness.
  • Can work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support.
  • Is confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Holds safeguarding knowledge and ideally an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

Please note: This role is not eligible for a CoS. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role without requiring a CoS.
