We are looking for three Quantity Surveyors to join our Asset Management Commercial team, supporting the delivery of planned and responsive maintenance programmes across our homes.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, cost‑effectively and in line with agreed budgets. You’ll work closely with contractors and internal teams to monitor financial performance, manage cashflow and support the successful delivery of works programmes across your region.

Working in partnership with our Commercial and Delivery teams, you will help manage contractual relationships, oversee financial reporting and ensure strong contractor performance, driving value for money across our investment programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of cost‑effective programmes through competitive tendering and contractor appointment
  • Prepare and review Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), identifying risks and opportunities
  • Produce accurate monthly commercial reports and cost forecasts
  • Work collaboratively with Delivery Managers to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Manage variations, interim payments and final accounts
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and market conditions
  • Produce and maintain project cashflows for income and expenditure
  • Support contractor performance management against agreed KPIs

This is a full time, permanent role working 37 hours per week. It is also a hybrid and field based role in the North Devon area (2 roles) or South Devon and Cornwall area (1 role) – you should be based within a 30 minute commute of this area.

About the Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Quantity Surveyor, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role and the following role specific skills and experience:

Essential Skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
Essential Experience
  • Experience within social housing and/or construction
  • Experience of contract, project or programme management
  • Experience supporting CVR processes and reporting
Essential Knowledge
  • Understanding of construction processes, frameworks and ways of working
  • Knowledge of JCT Measured Term contracts (or similar)
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements within the housing sector
Qualifications
  • ONC / HNC (or higher) in Construction, Building, Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable Experience and Knowledge
  • Experience within retrofit or building safety environments
  • Experience working with directly employed trades
  • Experience of tendering and managing publicly funded contracts
Desirable Qualifications
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS, CIOB)
