About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and motivated Team Manager – Gaining Access to lead a high‑performing team delivering an essential service across our communities. You will manage a team of Co‑ordinators and Enforcement Officers, ensuring safe, timely access to properties for compliance checks and repairs, while supporting wider business areas where access is a challenge. You will play a vital role in leading your team to deliver a customer‑focused, compliant and efficient service, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, motivating and developing a team to deliver a high-quality gaining access service
  • Managing performance to ensure service delivery meets agreed targets and standards
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and organisational requirements
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams, contractors and external partners
  • Supporting the resolution of complex or sensitive cases
  • Monitoring and improving service processes to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Drive customer engagement, including support for vulnerable customers
  • Managing resources effectively to meet operational demands
  • Promoting a strong health, safety and safeguarding culture within the team

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Team Manager – Gaining Access, you will have the essential skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications for a level 4 role and the following role specific skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in a people management or supervisory role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

  • Ability to manage complex or sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Knowledge of compliance, health and safety, and safeguarding responsibilities
  • Competent in using IT systems and data to monitor and improve performance

Desirable Skills, Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Experience within housing, property services or a similar environment
  • Understanding of legal processes relating to gaining access
  • Experience working in a regulated environment

Working Details

This is a full time role working 37 hours per week. Hybrid Working is available for this role working 2-3 days in the office dependent on business need. You will be based from our Exeter office. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups. Appointment to this role is subject to a satisfactory basic DBS check.
