About The Role

As a Housing Officer, you will be the primary relationship manager for our customers across our Exeter patch. You'll deliver front line customer service, respond to tenancy enquiries, manage community standards and address tenancy breaches. There will also be involvement in new developments. You will work closely with internal teams, and external partners, to maintain safe, welcoming environments and foster strong community ties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service and support for customers, handling queries, permissions and tenancy management.
- Conduct tenancy sign-ups, viewings and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements.
- Manage cases of tenancy breaches, including the safeguarding of our customers.
- Oversee estate standards and service contract to ensure value for money and a high-quality living environment.
- Lead the delivery of vibrant resident engagement and support community development objectives within your geographical patch to promote business objectives and to support tenancy and neighbourhood sustainability.

This role is being offered as a full time 12 month secondment, with the potential to be extended or made permanent. The successful candidate will be working 37 per week. This is a field based role in the Exeter area. A flexible working pattern of a 9 day fortnight is available for this position. To ensure the role is manageable and sustainable, applicants will need to be based within a 30 minute commuting distance of the Exeter area, as regular travel is required.

About The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the role of Housing Officer - Neighbourhoods, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role and the following role specific skills and experience:
- Experience in social housing with experience of tenancy, estate and housing management.
- Housing officer experience.
- Be CIH Level 4 qualified, or be willing to work towards.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Have an excellent customer focus, with an ability and drive to improve customer satisfaction.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
Please note: This role is not eligible for a CoS. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role without a CoS.
