Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Estate Operatives, Lead Grounds Operatives, Grounds Operatives, and contractors to delivery high-quality estate services.
- Manage vehicles, equipment, and resources effectively, supporting the Fleet Manager, and ensuring safe, professional operations at all times.
- Provide visible leadership – coach, mentor, and develop your team to delivery excellent service and live our values.
- Drive improvements in Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) by ensuring your team is skilled, supported and well‑led.
- Monitor standards through inspections and audits, and respond to complaints and feedback with technical expertise.
- Resolve operational challenges collaboratively, promoting a “one‑team, one‑purpose” ethos.
- Oversee stock audits, waste management, and procurement support to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Manage budgets and contribute to strategic planning, ensuring value for money and long‑term estate improvements.

This role is offered on a full‑time basis – working 40 hours per week. It is a permanent, full‑time role covering the Exeter area. Ideally, you will be based around a 30‑minute commute from these areas.

About The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the role of Estate Delivery Team Manager, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 2 role and the following role‑specific skills and experience:
- Experience leading and developing effective teams.
- Strong customer‑service skills, adaptable to different customer needs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across dispersed locations.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Full, UK, manual driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Horticultural knowledge (e.g. pruning cycles, pest awareness, seasonal planting).
- Health and Safety training (SSSTS, SMSTS, IOSH or equivalent).
- Working towards, or holding, a leadership qualification.
