Are you looking to start your career in property development while gaining a recognised qualification? As a Development Apprentice, you will gain broad experience across several teams within the Development Directorate, developing an understanding of how new homes are planned, delivered, sold and supported. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will build your knowledge of project management, customer service, business operations and financial processes, while learning how a successful housing organisation delivers homes and services for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow the apprenticeship learning programme and work towards successfully completing all training requirements.
  • Support managers and colleagues across a range of Development teams during your placements.
  • Assist with projects and contribute to team objectives and business priorities.
  • Develop knowledge of development projects, business operations and customer-focused services.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Development Directorate.
  • Provide administrative and operational support as required by the teams you work within.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail in your work.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning, personal development and continuous improvement throughout the apprenticeship.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, based on a two year fixed term apprentice contract. Hybrid working is available for this role working 2-3 days in the office dependent on business need. You will be based from our Exeter or Weston-Super-Mare office.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Development Apprentice, you will have the essential skills and experience for a Level 1 role and the following role specific skills and experience:

Essential Skills

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, or a willingness to work towards completing Functional Skills assessments.
