As a Gas Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our properties, ensuring they meet our high standards and customer expectations. This role is a mobile role, working predominately in the Tolvaddon area. You will ideally be based within a 30 minute commute of this patch.
Key Responsibilities
- Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair domestic heating systems, including fault‑finding, installation, and annual servicing.
- Quality Workmanship: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, complying with building regulations and safety requirements.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate a positive and professional approach to our customers, ensuring the highest standard of customer service and satisfaction.
- Maintenance and Testing: Perform periodic testing and installation work, ensuring compliance with current best practices and guidelines.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- On‑Call Participation: Take part in an out‑of‑hours on‑call structure and attend meetings and training as required.

About The Candidate
To be successful in your application for the role of Gas Engineer, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level one role and the following role specific skills and experience:
- Post‑Qualification Experience: Proven experience in the gas industry, with a strong understanding of responsive maintenance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing boiler faults, performing annual servicing, and carrying out installation work.
- Customer Focus: Experience working in customers' homes, demonstrating a professional and positive approach.
- Health & Safety Awareness: Knowledge of health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- IT Skills: Proficient in the use and application of mobile technology.
- Driving Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with LPG and Oil systems is desirable.

- CCN1 (Domestic Core Element).
- CENWAT1 (Domestic Gas Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters).
- Desirable: CKR1 (Cookers) – Required to complete within a reasonable timeframe after successfully passing the probation period.
- Desirable: HTR1 (Heaters) – Required to complete within a reasonable timeframe after successfully passing the probation period.

- Desirable: Part L (Energy Efficiency Qualification)
- Desirable: Part G (Hot Water Safety and Efficiency)

Please note: This role is not eligible for a CoS. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role without a CoS.
