Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair domestic electrical systems, including fault‑finding, rewiring and monitoring.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, complying with building regulations and safety requirements.
  • Provide a positive, professional approach to customers, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Perform periodic testing and installation work, ensuring compliance with best practice guidelines.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Participate in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota and attend meetings & training as required.

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, with flexibility to be discussed during the interview.

Skills

  • Post‑qualification experience in the electrical industry, with a strong understanding of responsive maintenance.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing electrical faults, performing periodic testing, and carrying out installation work.
  • Experience working in customers’ homes, demonstrating a professional and positive approach.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of mobile technology.
  • Full, manual, valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications Required

  • Core apprenticeship, 2360 parts 1 & 2 or equivalent (NVQ3, City and Guilds).
  • Desirable qualifications: 18th Edition BS7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations; Test and Inspect (2391 or equivalent); AM2 (Achievement Measurement Test); PV (Photovoltaic); EV (Electric Vehicles Charging Points); EESS (Electrical Energy Storage Systems). Required to be completed within a reasonable timeframe after probation.

Visa Sponsorship

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role without requiring sponsorship.
