What will you be doing?
- Leading the underwriting of complex mining risks across diverse international territories
- Developing and executing underwriting strategies to support profitable portfolio growth
- Building strong relationships with brokers and clients, representing Zurich at market meetings, presentations, and industry events
- Assessing, pricing, and negotiating new and renewal business in line with governance, appetite, and underwriting guidelines
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior underwriters and colleagues
- Collaborating with claims, risk engineering, actuarial, and other internal partners to ensure informed underwriting decisions
- Monitoring market trends, emerging risks, and developments in the mining sector to support forward‑looking strategy
- Contributing to continuous improvement and helping to embed best‑practice underwriting governance
