We're looking for a friendly, approachable and enthusiastic Receptionist (Evenings & Weekends)to join the team at FireFit Youth & Community Hub in Liverpool on a part-time basis. As one of the first people our visitors, youth members and customers will meet, you'll play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for everyone who comes through the doors.

As a Receptionist, you’ll be at the heart of FireFit, helping reception run smoothly by managing bookings, enquiries and membership information, alongside supporting with administration, cash handling and the tuck shop.

Working pattern

As this is an evening and weekend role, you’ll be working 4:45pm to 9:45pm Monday to Friday, alongside Saturdays from 3:45pm to 7:45pm each week.

What you’ll be doing

  • Welcome visitors, youth members and customers, providing friendly and professional customer service.
  • Manage customer, visitor and contractor sign-ins and out of the Hub.
  • Respond to enquiries face to face, by phone, email and social media.
  • Manage bookings and venue hire information, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain membership accounts and process membership fees in line with procedures.
  • Support the day-to-day running of reception, including overseeing the tuck shop.
  • Maintain accurate customer and service user data to support monitoring and reporting.
  • Provide general administrative support, including maintaining records, filing and other reception duties.
  • Handle payments and support the Duty Manager with cashing up in line with financial procedures.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, equality and data protection procedures to help maintain a safe and inclusive environment.

What we're looking for

  • A friendly, approachable and enthusiastic personality with a strong customer focus.
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy, including GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service and confidently dealing with a range of people.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Good IT skills, with the ability to accurately input, maintain and handle customer information in line with GDPR.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise your workload and maintain high standards.
  • Good attention to detail and a reliable, organised approach.
  • An understanding of the importance of following policies and procedures, including health and safety and safeguarding.
  • Previous administrative experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • A Level 3 qualification or equivalent and a First Aid qualification would also be desirable.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person competency based discussion at our FireFit hub, week commencing 2nd November 2026.
