Local Services 2 You is looking for a confident, organised and community-focused Community Wellbeing and Family Support Coordinator to help deliver two important areas of work: our Healthy Working Lives project and Families Togetherprogramme.This is a varied, hands‑on role supporting people into employment, stronger families and more connected communities. You will coordinate day‑to‑day project activity, support volunteers and Healthy Working Lives Champions, build relationships with local employers and partners, and help families access welcoming, practical support in their communities.You will be responsible for planning activities, organising meetings and events, engaging participants, maintaining accurate records, capturing outcomes and helping demonstrate the impact of the work to funders and stakeholders.We are looking for someone who is proactive, approachable and well organised, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will be confident working with families, volunteers, community organisations, employers and partner agencies, and able to create inclusive spaces where people feel welcomed, listened to and supported.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating delivery of Healthy Working Lives and Families Together activity
- Supporting and coordinating volunteers, champions and community participants
- Building positive relationships with employers, families, community groups and local partners
- Organising community events, partnership meetings, training sessions and engagement activity
- Supporting families to access advice, support and progression opportunities through trusted local connections
- Maintaining accurate project records, monitoring information, case studies and reports
- Helping ensure activity is safe, inclusive, responsive and aligned with safeguarding expectations
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Experience of coordinating projects, community activity or partnership work
- Confidence working with a range of people, including families, volunteers, professionals and community partners
- Good IT, record keeping and reporting skills
- A commitment to equality, inclusion, safeguarding and reducing barriers for families and communities
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and respond flexibly to community needs
Experience of working in the voluntary, community, early years, public health, employment support or family support sector would be an advantage. Experience of supervising volunteers, coordinating events, supporting outreach work or working with families facing barriers to engagement would also be beneficial.
We are keen to make sure we get the best person for this role. To make sure we attract the widest range of candidates we are willing to be flexible about the number of hours per week you are appointed for. We will consider someone who is looking for 25 hours a week as well as someone who is wanting a full time role (and anywhere in between). We have a wide range of activities and initiatives for someone to get involved in. To be clear, the successful person will be appointed on a fixed number of hours per week.
