The Livestock and Meat Commission is seeking to grow our team of dedicated professionals to lead the sustainable development of our £1.7bn beef and sheep meat industry. Farm Quality Assurance Manager (Ref 25E)

The Northern Ireland Beef and Lamb Farm Quality Assurance Scheme (FQAS) has been in operation for over 30 years and is a critical tool in marketing beef and lamb produced in Northern Ireland by over 11,000 approved farm businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the FQAS team and manage and develop FQAS in conjunction with the Head of Quality Assurance, in accordance with policy determined by the FQAS Industry Board and LMC Board.
  • Facilitate the establishment and operation of other industry initiatives which may arise.
  • Help manage an assurance scheme that sits at the heart of the industry\’s supply chain and sustainable development.

Location and Hours

Location: Lisburn and hybrid

Working Hours: Full time (37.5 hrs per week)

The Package

  • Competitive salary up to £38,990
  • Inclusive of current employer pension contributions; the LMC benefits package includes: Competitive holiday benefits – 20 days annual leave rising with service (under review)
