We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, adaptable, driven and professional Protection Consultant to join our sales department. Within this role, you will work collaboratively with Independent Financial Advisers (IFA's) across the UK to deliver exceptional protection solutions – this activity is crucial in supporting with protection planning for their clients. You’ll be a trusted partner and subject matter expert for your panel - your support, expertise and influence will therefore be key and will help you to deal with new and existing accounts, acquire new business, and maintain profitable business for LV=. You’ll present our Protection proposition over the phone, via Teams, and in person (when required), develop new leads, and support advisers in progressing their protection businesses. The role can be primarily remote, however periodic office visits to Bournemouth, and attendance at some adviser events will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering agreed business goals from an allocated regional panel (to be identified and managed via a business plan and Key Account plans where appropriate).
  • Achieving individual financial targets for business volumes and premium income, in accordance with the required business mix.
  • Ensuring that excellent customer outcomes are reached and conduct risk is adhered to.
  • Attending network events and roadshows and providing in-person support when required.
  • Developing consistent support from adviser firms, increasing the number of supporting advisers within a firm, and the breadth of protection products sold.
  • Exceeding the required minimum levels of operational activity in key areas (minimum levels are set to achieve core business targets).
  • Observing risk events and reporting these to the Risk Manager where appropriate.
  • Maintaining and developing your knowledge of the LV= Protection proposition, competitor product offerings, and our competitive positioning.
  • Carrying out data analysis and reports when required.
  • Achieving and maintaining sales competence and CRM records, in line with LV= standards.
  • Working as a team member to achieve corporate goals and meet targets collaboratively.
  • Competently managing your diary to schedule appointments, record keeping, events and administrative tasks effectively.

About You

  • Have robust experience of working within a targeted/sales-focused role.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, with the ability to prioritise workload, meet targets accurately, and deliver business requirements within agreed timeframes.
  • Be empathetic, a great communicator and listener, and genuinely have our customer's best interests at heart.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical and literacy skills.
  • Competently be able to use Microsoft Office programmes and any relevant CRM systems (training on LV= systems will be provided).
  • Be self-motivated and proactive, with excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Have experience of working within Financial Services (desirable but not essential).
  • Be willing to obtain R01 and R05 accreditations within the first 12 months of the role if these haven’t already been achieved (these will be essential for the role).
  • Be resilient, with a problem-solving attitude and the ability to think outside the box for creative solutions.
