Join our dynamic research team at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine as a Research Nurse in the Human Challenge Facility (HCF). This state-of-the-art facility focuses on experimental medicine research, testing vaccine and drug safety and efficacy.

The Role

  • Provide essential clinical cover in the HCF, delivering care to participants according to the study protocol while maintaining high standards of clinical care and complying with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Collect samples and complete data entry using electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs).
  • Ensure clinical studies run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with GCP guidelines.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists to develop better vaccines and treatments.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Immediate Life Support (ILS) trained.
  • Experience working in clinical research or clinical trials (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • A passion for improving global health through innovative research.
  • Available to work out of hours including night shifts, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

Your Workplace

You will work in the Human Challenge Facility in the Liverpool Life Science Accelerator Building, part of the Knowledge Quarter. This post is a contingent contract, meaning hours of work will include social hours, evenings, and weekends.
