Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic researcher to join an exciting BBSRC-funded project exploring Wolbachia and Anopheles mosquitoes interactions. Based in the Mosquito Symbiosis and Infection (MosSI) group at LSTM, you will work at the forefront of vector biology research within the Departments of Vector Biology and Tropical Disease Biology.

Your role involves collaborating with researchers from the University of Warwick and Michigan State University to investigate:

  • The effect of host genetics on Wolbachia-mediated phenotypes
  • Microbiota-Wolbachia interactions
  • Factors influencing microinjection success
  • The impact of temperature on Wolbachia-host interactions
