About The Role

LSTM is seeking an experienced People Services Adviser to provide specialist operational and technical support across organisational change, fixed-term contract management, and immigration compliance. The role is central to ensuring that employment decisions are delivered consistently, fairly, and in line with both employment legislation and UKVI requirements. You will play a central role in managing consultation administration activity, fixed-term contracts, redundancies, and redeployment processes, alongside immigration and sponsorship compliance.

About You

You will have strong experience in HR advisory or operational roles, with a particular focus on organisational change, consultation processes, and fixed-term contract management. You will be confident working in complex environments where employment legislation, compliance, and stakeholder management are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the alignment of contract renewals with UKVI sponsorship obligations, ensuring continuity of right to work and immigration compliance.
  • Provide operational support for immigration and sponsorship processes across Skilled Worker, Global Talent, ILR, and other visa routes.
  • Use workforce and immigration data insights to support decision-making in organisational change and workforce planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate HR and sponsorship records to ensure audit readiness and reporting compliance.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of fixed-term contracts, ensuring timely reviews, renewals, consultations and terminations, and maintaining alignment with immigration sponsorship requirements.
  • Support and facilitate organisational change administration processes, including consultation, redundancy, and redeployment activity, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and policy.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Experience in UK immigration/sponsorship processes
  • Strong knowledge of fixed-term contract management and employment law considerations
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance and structured process management
  • Experience supporting redundancy, and consultation processes
  • Ability to manage sensitive conversations
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in higher education, research, or public sector environments
  • Exposure to redeployment processes
  • Experience supporting HR data reporting or system
