Our Research Services Department underpins this mission by enabling high-quality, ethical, and compliant research across the organisation.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Facilitator to join our Research Services Department. This pivotal role will ensure that LSTM maintains a robust, centralised Research Quality Management System (QMS) that is up to date, fit for purpose, and aligned with institutional and regulatory requirements. The post holder will work closely with the Research Governance, Ethics and Integrity (RGEI) team, providing essential support to ensure that research across LSTM is delivered in a compliant, ethical, and high-quality manner.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the Research Quality Management platform of SOPs and templates are maintained and in date
- Liaise with the Clinical Research QA Officer to ensure all documents are updated and stored on the central Research QMS Platform
- Advertise training opportunities for SOPs within LSTM including LSTM hubs
- Collate records to ensure research teams evidence they have read and understood SOPs relevant to their research
- Support the greenlight process for global studies by reviewing document checklists
- Update research database of study status and go live dates
- Centralise a schedule of monitoring and auditing to enable reviews of success rates
- Provide any information on version controls and support any investigation that the Compliance Officer or Research Governance Officer may bring
- Support the process for monitoring plan development, procuring and contracting with monitors
- Ensure the research database is maintained for any activities undertaken
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, organisation and time management skills with proven success in delivering results to demanding deadlines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Degree or equivalent experience from working in a similar environment
- Experience of research governance processes
- Proven experience of working in a professional administrative role within Higher Education or a similar research and development environment
- Knowledge of international and UK research processes in Higher Education or similar environment
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in spreadsheets and database management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
