For over 25 years, the Faculty of Health, Innovation, Science and Technology has been passionate about creating programmes that enable our students to engage with the health and social care sectors to deliver the best care to individuals, families and populations. The School of Public and Allied Health covers a range of programme areas including social work, health and social care, public health, paramedicine, midwifery and community nursing.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to the position of Senior Lecturer in Social Work to join our Social Work team. You will lead on and deliver a range of high-quality teaching materials and associated student assessment activities, as well as making a significant contribution to the planning, design and development of modules, programmes, and curriculum changes. You will also engage in high quality research and/or relevant professional and knowledge exchange activities as part of the School of Public and Allied Health\’s continued development.

You will be enthusiastic and driven to improve the lives of individuals, families and communities. You must be a registered Social Worker, and have significant experience within social work, including experience of supervising and teaching social work students. You will:

  • have a strong commitment to ensuring an outstanding student experience
  • deliver a range of high quality teaching materials and associated student assessment activities
  • provide excellent pastoral and academic support to students
  • contribute to the planning, design and development of modules and programmes and curriculum changes
  • engage in one of the Faculty\’s research themes
