Liverpool John Moores University is seeking to appoint an Academic Programme Tutor for the Professional Qualification in Probation (PQi P) Programme.
This programme will provide the academic component of the PQi P training for the North West and Greater Manchester areas.
As an Academic Programme Tutor, you will be located in the School of Justice Studies and work alongside colleagues in a dedicated PQi P Team and more broadly with Criminal Justice colleagues.
The School of Justice Studies is part of the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies which offers a diverse range of programmes, from Architecture to Film, Education, Criminal Justice and Policing.
As an Academic Programme Tutor, you will be required to contribute to the academic delivery and assessment of this professional programme.
You will be involved in developing high quality teaching, learning and assessment materials and you will be required to offer academic and pastoral advice and guidance to the learners.
In addition, you will act as a dedicated link to one of the probation areas.
We are seeking to appoint highly motivated and creative individuals who are committed to the pursuit of excellence in probation teaching and practice.
You should have experience of teaching and learning activities within Higher Education and/or the workplace.
It is desirable to have a post graduate degree in Criminal Justice, or cognate area and/or significant probation operational experience.
