LJMU's Intelligence and Surveillance Team is seeking a research analyst to contribute to a well-established programme of health‑related intelligence and research at the Public Health Institute. The role involves supporting the team in the collation and analysis of data and the production of outputs related to that data.

Responsibilities

  • Collate, clean, and manipulate large health data sets.
  • Analyze data to support public health research projects.
  • Produce clear and actionable outputs based on data analysis.
  • Work within a city‑based office environment for at least three days a week, in line with LJMU's hybrid working policy.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree or equivalent in a health‑related field.
  • Previous experience of collating, cleaning, manipulating and analysing large data sets.
  • Knowledge of public health issues, particularly in the fields of drugs, alcohol, and/or injury prevention, would be desirable but is not essential.
