The Faculty of Health, Innovation, Technology and Science is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to lead a two-year research programme on hydration and health. The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Neil Walsh and his team on an industry-funded research programme extending recently published work. Responsibilities
- Study design
- Ethical approval
- Day-to-day running and administration of the research programme
- Implementation of interventions
- Assisting in the collection and interpretation of data
- Production of technical reports and manuscripts for publication
Qualifications
- Completed a PhD in a relevant subject area (nutrition, human physiology, health psychology, exercise science)
- Experience leading high-level research projects
- Experience of biological sample collection (including venous blood collection), handling, storage (in accordance with GLP), biochemical analysis and quality control techniques
- Experience of publishing in high-quality journals (desirable)
- Experience working with industry sponsors (desirable)
- Ability to manage and prioritise a continuously demanding workload
Interviews will likely take place the week commencing 26th January 2026.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence the post in March 2026.
