An opportunity has arisen in the central Safety, Health and Environment Department at Liverpool John Moores University for an Event Safety Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Manage event safety as the primary responsibility, acting as the custodian of the health and safety elements of the event management process.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan, set up, execute and review events across the university premises (approximately 1,000 to 1,200 events per year).
- Ensure compliance with Martyn's Law (Terrorism Protection of Premises Act 2025) and its recent Guidance, and oversee arrangements for fire safety and first aid at events.
- Conduct horizon‑scanning and review, update and consult on policy.
- Attend Faculty and Professional Services Management meetings, deliver training and present to senior members of the organisation.
