Liverpool John Moores University is seeking an experienced, forward‑thinking Careers & Employability Consultant to join our award‑winning Student Futures team. Student Futures is LJMU’s Careers, Employability and Start‑Up team. As a strategic partner across the University, we deliver innovative expertise, high‑impact support and opportunities that empower students and graduates to thrive in their future careers. Working collaboratively with academic teams, employers and external partners, we help transform potential into lasting success.

As one of Student Futures’ business partners to LJMU Schools, you will work directly with academic colleagues – shaping and delivering activity that embeds careers & employability at the heart of teaching & learning. As well as directly delivering sessions in and beyond the curriculum, you will provide leadership to a Graduate Transitions Officer as they develop & deliver an exciting new support programme to strengthen the early career success of LJMU graduates.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in leading or facilitating course design that progresses employability & career confidence
  • A track record in delivering engaging & impactful group sessions
  • Inspirational leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate and guide others
  • Solutions‑focused use of data, feedback and evaluation to drive results
  • A collaborative, partnership‑focused approach
