For over 25 years, the Faculty of Health, Innovation, Science and Technology has been passionate about creating programmes that enable our students to engage with the health and social care sectors to deliver the best care to individuals, families and populations. The School of Public and Allied Health covers a range of programme areas including social work, health and social care, public health, paramedicine, midwifery and community nursing.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to the position of Senior Lecturer in Social Work. The role involves leading and delivering high-quality teaching materials, student assessment activities, and contributing to module and curriculum development. The successful candidate will engage in research and professional activities aligned with the School\’s development goals.

Applicants must be registered Social Workers with significant social work experience, including supervising and teaching students. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring an outstanding student experience
  • Delivering high-quality teaching and assessments
  • Providing pastoral and academic support to students
  • Contributing to curriculum and module development
  • Engaging in research within the Faculty\’s themes
