The role of the Surveyor will provide technical support for the delivery and provision of adaptations in homes as part of the Disabled Facilities Grant Programme, ensuring compliance with statutory and audit requirements.

Delivery of the Surveyor role will ensure services are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, including Disabled Facilities Grant legislation, and complies with building regulations. You will be required to maintain appropriate electronic records, including writing reports within agreed service standards.

In the role of Surveyor, you will prepare specifications, supervise contracts from commencement to completion of works, manage DFG applications, update case management systems, and work alongside Occupational Therapists and contractors to ensure adaptations progress smoothly.

The role of Surveyor will involve direct contact with residents, contractors, and partner services, providing clear communication and excellent customer service to support vulnerable residents through the DFG process.

Your demonstrable knowledge as a Surveyor will include the ability to work independently, managing a heavy and diverse workload and meeting deadlines. Knowledge of working with adaptations would be advantageous.

The role of the Surveyor is central to enabling Liverpool City Council to deliver timely statutory adaptations, reduce waiting times, maintain accurate financial controls, and support residents to remain safe and independent in their homes.
