We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a Sports Coach.
In this role, you will support the development and delivery of community sports programmes, focusing on school sports delivery, curriculum development, and building school relationships.
What will you be doing?
- Ensure quality inclusive sessions are delivered across LFC Foundation sports programmes in schools and community settings.
- Create inclusive session plans supporting young people\’s development from trying new sports to talent identification and pathways.
- Support the development and delivery of professional development and mentoring for casual coaches, coach mentees, and volunteers.
- Deliver engaging and inclusive activities.
- Engage with underrepresented groups, including diverse communities and disabled young people.
- Collaborate with local community groups and leaders to promote sports initiatives.
- Support all LFC Foundation projects, programmes, and events as needed.
- Complete session plans and risk assessments to high standards.
- Record data on LFC Foundation databases for reliable reporting to funders.
- Generate case studies and PR content in line with Club and Foundation guidelines.
- Contribute content for LFC Foundation social media channels.
- Undertake other tasks as required.
Who are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of a Level 1 coaching qualification or equivalent in two or more sports. Experience in developing inclusive session plans and coaching curriculums is essential. You should have supported community programme development and worked with partners and community groups, especially engaging minority groups in sport and physical activity. A Level 2 coaching qualification or higher in two or more sports is desirable. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.
Why should you apply?
This is a fixed-term 12-month contract, working 35 hours per week on a 5-from-7-day basis, including evenings and weekends. The main base will be at our Anfield Sports and Community Centre.
