We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC product design team as a Senior Clothing Designer. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of LFC\’s apparel collections, including lifestyle ranges, and fan merchandise. You will be responsible for the creative process from concept to production, ensuring every design embodies the club\’s identity while meeting the highest standards of quality and innovation in line with the Design strategy.
What will you be doing?
- Research global fashion and sportswear trends to keep LFC at the forefront of design innovationand present findings back to the Senior Design Manager
- Design seasonal clothing collections aligned with brand strategy and market trends against briefs issued by Category Manager.
- To produce colour direction, mood and trim boards for each clothing range, whilst continually researching and developing new ideas.
- Ensure designs meet design, sustainability, and cost requirements.
- To create accurate, detailed design specifications for each garment and work with the Product Developers and Garment Technologist on the approval of lab dips, trims, branding and samples.
- To prepare overview boards for all ranges and design packs for presentations. To mock up samples with proposed trims and graphics and to present designs and samples when required.
- To prepare look books for international meetings.
- To support Club partnerships and license agreements with design work, when required.
- To support global merchandising partners with design work, as required.
Who are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you\’ll bring proven experience in clothing design for a global sports or lifestyle brand, showcasing creativity and innovation in every project. Strong proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator is essential, along with a solid foundation in clothing design. A keen understanding of competitor activity and strong commercial awareness will help you shape collections that are both exciting and relevant.
You\’ll hold a degree in a design-related discipline and demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively. Confidence in presenting clear, accurate information and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are key. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and a genuine interest in the business of football will set you apart.
