About the role
We are looking for a Manager, Ticketing, Access & Hospitality Systems to join the team at Liverpool FC.
We are looking for an experienced professional to oversee the setup, configuration, testing and day-to-day operation of the Club’s Ticketing, Hospitality and Access Control systems across all football and non-football events.
The role will act as the business owner for these systems, ensuring they are maintained effectively to deliver a seamless supporter experience while meeting operational and stadium security requirements.
The successful candidate will lead the planning, testing and delivery of system-related initiatives, enhancements and event operations, developing test plans, task lists and operational procedures as needed.
Working closely with internal teams including Product, Operations, Hospitality, Safety, IT and Supporter Services, as well as external suppliers, they will serve as the key stakeholder for ticketing, hospitality and access system matters, helping to deliver departmental and club-wide objectives.
What will you be doing?
- Manage the delivery and operation of ticketing, hospitality and access control systems across men's, women's, academy and non-football events.
- Oversee ticket sales, renewals, special events and third-party venue fixtures, ensuring accurate system setup and configuration.
- Lead the administration and distribution of ticketing and access products, including hospitality, parking and NFC passes.
- Coordinate ticketing and access control requirements for major events, concerts and external venues, ensuring systems are thoroughly tested and event-ready.
- Develop and manage testing plans, operational procedures and validation processes to ensure successful event delivery and system performance.
- Act as a business owner for key ticketing and access control platforms and suppliers, driving system enhancements and continuous improvement.
- Produce and analyse operational reports relating to attendance, stadium access, ticket activations and supporter behaviour to support decision-making.
- Monitor, investigate and resolve ticketing and access-related incidents, ensuring a high-quality supporter experience.
- Lead event-day access support and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to quickly resolve operational issues.
- Manage user access governance, security controls and annual system rollover activities.
- Deliver training and knowledge-sharing to promote best practice and effective system use across the organisation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Hospitality, Safety, Finance, Technology and Supporter Services to support business objectives and event delivery.
- Contribute to strategic projects, supplier relationships and future technology developments relating to ticketing, access control and supporter experience.
Who are we looking for?
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience working in a high-volume ticketing, access control, sports, entertainment or venue environment.
- Strong understanding of ticketing operations, stadium access systems and supporter entry processes.
- In-depth knowledge of the football, live events and venue operations industry.
- Experience managing operational systems, process improvements and quality assurance activities.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external suppliers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, particularly in fast-paced operational environments.
- Experience developing testing plans, operational procedures and readiness reviews.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage operational incidents effectively.
- Technical Skills
- Significant experience with access control platforms such as Fortress and ticketing systems such as Seat Geek or similar.
- Experience managing digital ticketing products, NFC credentials and stadium access technologies.
- Strong testing and quality assurance experience, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and operational readiness reviews.
- Advanced reporting, data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with large datasets, operational reporting tools and incident management processes.
- Good understanding of stadium operations and event-day delivery.
Desirable
- Experience managing supplier relationships and contract governance.
- Experience leading system implementation, integration or transformation projects.
