Liverpool FC Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity to join the delivery team to deliver high-quality employability programmes to provide life-changing opportunities in the most deprived areas, helping to raise aspiration and job prospects for all participants on a fixed term contract (2 years).

This role will support the development of LFC Foundation’s employability programmes across the Liverpool City Region, with a particular focus on post-programme careers support. The role also supports Employability Coordinators to ensure high-quality delivery and contribute to their ongoing professional development.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Lead the development and delivery of post-programme support pathways to help participants progress into education, employment, training, or volunteering.
  • Create curriculum and work with external partners to deliver employability programmes that upskill young people and raise their aspirations.
  • Line management of up to three Employability Coordinators.
  • Develop and implement volunteering, internship, and apprenticeship opportunities for programme participants.
  • Manage a caseload of participants, providing 121 careers guidance and ongoing post-programme support.
  • Work closely with the Impact and Insights team to ensure the monitoring and evaluation framework is carried out effectively.
  • Support the Programme Manager with funding bids, data collection and reporting.
  • Manage risk across employability programmes to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all young people and staff.
  • Continually implement quality assurance procedures to ensure consistent delivery of a world-class programme.
  • Embed the highest safeguarding standards across all areas of work.

It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of effectively planning and delivering educational sessions, alongside experience of working with vulnerable adults and a sound knowledge of the employment sector. Safeguarding young people is central to our work. The successful candidate must hold a Level 1 (or higher) safeguarding qualification and demonstrate a strong understanding of best practice when working with vulnerable young people. We welcome examples of how applicants have embedded safeguarding into their work. In addition, as we strive to be the most inclusive football club, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of inclusive youth work practices.

The role requires excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to identify, evaluate, and reflect on successes and areas for development. A good knowledge of local industry, experience of signposting young people to further education, employment, or training opportunities, and competency in Microsoft Office packages are also essential.

This is a full-time contract role working 35 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days, working over some weekends. Fixed Term Contract (2 years). This role is based in the Anfield Sports and Community Centre in Liverpool; however, the role will involve some work traveling to other locations across Merseyside from time to time and occasionally further travel across England and Wales.
