We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Warehouse Assistant, Troubleshooter located at our distribution centre.
What will you be doing?
- In this role, you will act as a key technical and operational resource across all warehouse functions. You will support Supervisors and colleagues by providing hands-on operational expertise, resolving issues on the floor, and helping maintain smooth operational workflow across the Distribution Centre.
Operational Support
- Competently perform all warehouse tasks (inbound, picking, packing, replenishment, outbound, returns, and production/personalisation) with efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as the first point of support when operational issues arise, resolving problems quickly and escalating where appropriate.
- Provide cover during peak periods, colleague absences, or unexpected operational challenges.
Stock Control & Accuracy
- Support all stock management activities including scanning, put-away, picking, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
- Investigate discrepancies and errors in stock movements, providing solutions or escalating recurring patterns to Supervisors.
- Assist in periodic inventory counts (PI) and ensure accurate stock records and reporting.
- Model and support loss-prevention practices and proper stock-handling procedures.
Training & Coaching Support
- Mentor and coach new or less-experienced warehouse operatives on operational procedures and best practices.
- Support Supervisors in delivering training on SOPs, systems, equipment use, and safety processes.
- Share expertise across shifts to help raise overall team capability and confidence.
Support for Supervisors
- Provide additional operational oversight and support to Supervisors during the shift.
- Monitor team compliance with SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards, raising concerns when necessary.
- Recommend process improvements based on hands-on operational experience.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe working practices.
- Conduct equipment checks and report any basic maintenance needs (FLT, scanners, conveyors, packing equipment).
- Support investigations into incidents, near-misses, or safety breaches as required.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and recurring issues in real-time and recommend improvements.
- Support Supervisors and Operations Managers with process improvement initiatives.
- Champion change on the warehouse floor, promoting adoption of new systems, tools or ways of working.
Operational Administration Support
- Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks relating to stock, production documentation, returns, or reporting.
- Ensure data is accurately captured in WMS/ERP systems in line with site standards.
- Support ad-hoc reporting or investigation requests from Supervisors or Operations Managers.

Why should you apply?
This is a full-time permanent position working 35 hours per week, across any five days out of seven, which will include regular weekend working. Your main base will be our Distribution Centre, in Prescot.
