We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a PL Primary Stars Senior Coordinator. In this role, you will support the delivery of the LFC Foundation's programme by planning and delivering sports and educational activities, helping teachers build confidence in PE, and supporting school-based interventions and events.
You will also coordinate aspects of the project, represent the Foundation and Premier League professionally, and remain flexible to support wider Foundation activities as needed. Premier League Primary Stars uses the appeal of the Premier League and Liverpool FC to inspire children to learn, stay active and develop key life skills.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting programme manager with planning, design and future planning curriculum and delivery model.
- Have line management responsibility for the delivery team.
- Deliver bespoke CPD for the PL Primary Stars and wider LFC Foundation teams.
- Report writing and evidencing impact on a regular basis.
- Work in line with the business plan ensuring all KPIs are met.
- Create case studies and PR opportunities are regularly undertaken in line with Club and Foundation guidelines.
- Provide content for LFC Foundation social media.
- Update LFC Foundation's reporting database.
- Take responsibility for delivery of the Premier League Primary Stars programme in a designated cohort of schools.
- Plan and prepare prior to each session using the PL Primary Stars templates and ensure that careful considerations are made for all abilities, ages and SEND considerations.
- Deliver interventions on the following topics to the highest possible standard across a variety of ages and abilities including: PE, PSHE, English, Maths, Extra-Curricular Clubs, School Assemblies, Workshops, Social Action, Tournament and competitions, Transition to secondary school sessions, Teacher CPD events/sessions and mentoring, Holiday Camps.
- Ensure that all activities are delivered in line with the current primary school curriculum and OFSTED guidelines.
- Work closely with primary school teachers to provide support and advice to improve their confidence to deliver PE.
- Organise and run teacher training workshops to designated primary schools and staff as part of the PL Primary Stars programme.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with LFC partner schools and their key staff including, head teachers, PE coordinators and receptionists.
- Liaise directly with partner schools to support and promote additional LFC activity.
- Collect the appropriate monitoring and evaluation documentation for each premier league primary stars session and assist in the upkeep of VIEWS online monitoring and evaluation.
- Ensure all activities are correctly monitored with the appropriate risk assessment and health and safety measures.
- Willingness to improve through CPD and courses.
- The wellbeing of young people is paramount at the LFC Foundation, you will be expected to understand safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Deliver bespoke interventions to individuals or cohorts.
- Support holiday camps and half term activation when needed.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will hold, or be working towards, the 1st4Sport Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education, along with the 1st4Sport Level 2 Award in Multi-Skills Development in Sport. You should bring a genuine passion for working with young people and the wider community, alongside strong communication skills that support effective stakeholder engagement both internally and externally. Confidence, clarity, and a proactive, self-motivated approach are essential, as is a solid understanding of the PE national curriculum across KS1 and KS2.
The role requires someone with a proven track record of delivering high-quality sports coaching to children of all ages and abilities, who can organise and prioritise their workload, apply equality, diversity and inclusion principles within their coaching practice, and demonstrate awareness of safeguarding responsibilities. The ability to adapt under pressure, manage challenging behaviours, understand different teaching and learning styles, and show a commitment to ongoing professional development is also vital.
It would be desirable for candidates to have experience line managing others, hold a full clean driving licence, and possess additional coaching qualifications. Experience delivering classroom-based education sessions, holding an FA Level 2 in coaching football, or coming from a sport development background would be advantageous. An understanding of the Premier League Primary Stars programme, experience mentoring adults, report or case study writing experience, and knowledge of managing data to evidence impact would further strengthen an application.

This is a Fixed-Term Contract opportunity for a period of 12 months, working 35 hours per week on a 5 from 7 day basis, with some weekend work required. The role is based at Anfield Sports Community Centre, Liverpool however the post holder will also be required to work from other locations across Merseyside from time to time and be willing to travel within England and Wales.
