We are currently seeking a Junior Sous Chef to showcase their culinary skills and creativity. This full‑time, permanent role (35 hours/week, 5 days from 7 days) is based at Anfield Stadium.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a designated section to ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Prepare, cook and finish dishes in line with recipes, specifications and service requirements.
- Support junior chefs with guidance, training and day‑to‑day supervision.
- Ensure consistency in quality, portion control and presentation.
- Maintain full compliance with food safety, allergen and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor stock levels within the section and support stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Assist senior chefs with menu preparation, service planning and kitchen organisation.
- Contribute to a positive, professional and high‑performing kitchen culture.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role, cooking and preparing high‑quality dishes and working with chefs at all levels.
- Strong technical cooking skills and a solid understanding of kitchen operations.
- Level 2 Food Safety certificate (minimum).
- Ability to lead by example and support the development of junior team members.
- Calm and organised approach under pressure.
- A genuine passion for food, quality and continuous improvement.
- Office‑based work skills including menu writing, research and development, allergen training, and leadership on both match days and non‑match days.
