We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as an Executive, Communications on a fixed term contract. In this role you will play a fundamental part in assisting in the enhancement of the Club's reputation within key markets. You will support Communications Managers and the wider team in the activation, evaluation and monitoring of creative and strategic communications plans and will play a hands‑on role, which requires a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of communications plans for commercial, operations and club‑wide projects.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to maximise communications touchpoints and ensure all activities dovetail into the wider department/club PR planner.
  • Evaluate campaigns and approaches using industry standard tools such as Meltwater to monitor and evaluate PR & Comms campaigns.
  • Build effective working relationships and network with colleagues, partners and media.
  • Contribute ideas and insights to the communications planning process.
  • Support in the management and attendance of player appearances and assist in club photocalls, managing sessions in line with the photography brief.
  • Create engaging and accurate news stories and features for the media.
  • Manage location aspects and maintain media lists.
  • Liaise on a daily basis with club departments and media via telephone and email.
  • Monitor media including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires and blogs for opportunities for the Club.
  • Provide support for club announcements, such as financial results and senior appointments.
  • Manage the filming request process from beginning to end, liaising with broadcasters, production companies and internal stakeholders.
  • Collate, analyse and evaluate media coverage.
  • Prepare regular PR reports for internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Research, write and distribute press releases.
  • Attend club photo shoots and manage sessions in line with the photography brief.
  • Manage event planning, including player appearances, community and promotional events.
  • Manage press interviews with players and legends.
  • Research to support club campaigns and reactions.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to compile matchday communications and matchday programme content.
  • Support commercial partner activity for allocated partners.
  • Contribute to the club’s LinkedIn page.
  • Manage awards tracker for club nominations and produce communications for any wins.
  • Contribute to team creative sessions that inform PR strategy.
  • General team administration, including comms planner, reporting, appearances, photography booking and weekly team meetings.

Qualifications

  • PR / Communications experience supporting communications or PR campaigns across multiple areas.
  • Proven ability to work with media and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging, accurate content for different audiences.
  • Strong relationship‑building and networking skills.
  • Experience in event management.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment such as sports or media.
