We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a Communications and Content Coordinator. As the LFC Foundation's Communications and Content Coordinator you will write content for the Foundation's website as well as press releases and pitches for external media coverage, building relationships with journalists as well as the Club Communications team. You will also work closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Coordinator to support and deliver on our communications strategy across all digital platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and web (.com). This will involve attending Foundation delivery sessions and events in order to support in creating engaging content.
A key aspect of this role involves hands-on content creation, including filming and editing to produce engaging organic social content tailored to each platform. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and have a solid understanding of social media platforms.
- Publish and schedule content across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube), ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Assist the Senior Digital Marketing Coordinator with content organisation, including content calendars, asset sourcing, content brainstorming, scheduling posts and performance reporting.
- Assist in the development, launch and running of an LFC Foundation TikTok account.
- Work with delivery teams and translation partners to ensure content is accurate and culturally relevant.
- Support monthly reporting by gathering performance data, highlighting key trends, and contributing ideas for improvement.

Essential Knowledge:
- Good knowledge and understanding of effective communications.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in social media creation, ideally within a sports or charity organisation.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their best practices.
- Proven experience in creating, filming, and producing engaging content.
- Excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
What will you be doing?
Communications:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the LFC Foundation and Football Club as well as external media representatives to support the delivery of our communications and PR plans to achieve business objectives.
- Lead on copywriting for Foundation channels and platforms, including website, publications, award entries and other marketing communications collateral.
- Provide support for the marketing and communications team, maintaining and delivering a calendar of content and communications.
- Support and champion internal communications across the Foundation and Club to ensure the Foundation's profile continues to grow across key audiences.
Content Creation & Production:
- Support the Senior Digital Marketing Coordinator to plan, film, and produce high-quality organic social content, including short-form videos and visual assets, aligned with brand guidelines and organic social content, with knowledge of Premiere, After Effects and/or Capcut.
Essential Functional / Technical Skills:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in marketing/communications/journalism/media.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Confident using MS Office, CMS, social media and other marketing communications software and platforms.
- Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills with keen eye for detail.
- Strong organisational, multi-tasking and administrative skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships.
- Knowledge and understanding of the LFC Foundation and its parent organisation, Liverpool Football Club.
