We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive Assistant First Team Analyst to join the Liverpool FC Women’s First Team performance department. Based at the AXA Melwood Training Ground and reporting to the Lead Performance Analyst, the successful candidate will work as an important member of the first team multidisciplinary team (MDT), capturing and analysing training sessions with a focus on game plan development on the training pitch. They will work in close collaboration with a wider performance analysis department (Lead Performance Analyst & Data Analyst) to help deliver an elite analysis provision. The role also carries a responsibility for monitoring and developing game-model examples, both individual and team, to be used within both first team and wider academy environments, as well as playing an important role on game days both home and away.
What you will be doing:
- Training – Individual Analysis
- Be the link between gameplan identification/development within staff meetings and training ground execution.
- Produce and present examples of gameplan development in training environment in line with session objectives.
- Work closely with coaching staff to help manage/maintain Individual Development Programmes for players.
- Examples of club’s football philosophy within a training environment – both team game model and individual position specific demands.
- Game Day Support
- Film wide angle all LFCW matches, home and away.
- Be responsible for match day analysis workflow set-up.
- Produce individual clips from each game in line with position specific demands, and individual specific development plans.
- Analysis Equipment
- Have responsibility for analysis equipment set-up, usage and storage on day-to-day basis, including matchdays.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Operate as a member of the first team MDT, building effective working relationships across coaching, medical, performance, and nutrition functions.
- Where required, contribute to performance reviews, planning meetings, and player management discussions through video examples.
- Represent the department’s performance analysis provision to coaching staff and club with clarity and confidence.
- Innovation, Research, and CPD
- Be proactive and forward thinking in their everyday approach.
- Stay informed of technological advancements and innovations to ensure continual development of club’s analysis department.
- Maintain professional accreditation and engage in ongoing CPD.
- Support departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What we are looking for:
- Essential
- Experience providing analysis support in elite professional sport - ideally football.
- High professional standards, attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Proven ability to produce high quality work with short turnaround period.
- Familiarity with camera (experience with IP cameras desirable) and analysis capture systems and distributing/storing footage live / post-event (e.g. Sportscode, Hudl, Replay, or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge/understanding of football.
- Strong presentation skills and experience using telestration and presentation software (Studio/Keynote/PowerPoint).
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an MDT and communicate effectively with coaches, medical staff, and leadership.
- MSc in Sports Science, or related discipline.
- Willingness to work regular evenings and weekends.

- Experience working with female athletes in a high-performance environment.
- Previous experience in professional women’s football at WSL level or equivalent.
- UEFA B Licence or coaching qualification.
