We are looking for an Apprentice, Financial Reporting to join the Finance team at Liverpool FC. The Financial Reporting Apprentice will play a key role in supporting the team with the preparation of accurate, timely, and compliant financial information. This entry‑level position is ideal for someone beginning their finance career and offers a blend of hands‑on experience and formal study toward a recognised accounting or finance qualification.
What will you be doing?
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support the production of statutory accounts and regulatory returns
- Help maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support data collection and validation for reporting purposes
- Help ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
- Assist during audits by preparing schedules and responding to basic queries
- Maintain documentation and working papers to a high standard
- Carry out general finance administration tasks as required
- Participate actively in training, development activities, and apprenticeship coursework
Who are we looking for?
- Strong academic background
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills, with a view to gaining regular feedback at all levels
- Proficient ability with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage priorities simultaneously with tight timeframes whilst keeping a close eye on priorities
- Strong collaboration to foster close relationships across different levels
