About the Role

A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Officer – Mechanical within the Maintenance Delivery team based at the Asset Management location in Wallasey. This role is integral to the Maintenance Delivery team who will act as the Principal Contractor for LCRCA when delivering maintenance and projects across all Mechanical, Systems and Electrical (MSE) assets. This role will be responsible for all mechanical asset performance by developing and implementing planned maintenance programmes and delivering internal investment projects on time and in budget. This role will contribute to strategic asset management and lifecycle of assets across the LCRCA estate. The MSE team are the statutory compliance duty holders for all MSE related activities and will strive to continually improve health and safety of the team and trades by innovative use of technology and reviewing maintenance practices. The Senior Officer – Mechanical will report to the Mechanical, Systems and Electrical Maintenance Programme Lead. Working hours are flexible across a 35 hours week covering Monday to Friday.

About the person

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with an HNC/D in a mechanical engineering discipline and/or a proven track record of efficiently managing and supporting mechanical maintenance programmes, teams and contractors to a high standard, whilst ensuring that the health, safety and wellbeing of the team, customers and the public, is at the heart of everything you do. We are looking for candidates who are team players with a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, and who are committed to upholding our core organisational values: LCR First, Respect, and Action Focus.

  • Experience in managing mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of H&S legislation
  • Full UK driving Licence
