About The Role
Are you a highly organised, detail-oriented professional with a passion for operational excellence? The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is seeking a Technical Administrations Officer to join our dynamic Customer and Operations Directorate. As a Technical Administrations Officer, you will play a pivotal role in administering business service operations, supporting effective planning, performance, financial control and service delivery. You’ll deliver advanced procedural support to a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring the smooth administration, evaluation and monitoring of priority projects and specialist operational activities. - Provide advanced procedural and technical support across operational deliverables, including auditing pass allocations and coordinating health checks.
- Assist in financial oversight, including payment processing, reporting and year-end account closure.
- Support performance and risk coordination, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and producing operational performance reports.
- Coordinate meetings, working groups and briefing sessions, recording and progressing actions.
- Maintain and support the SharePoint document management system and contribute to testing new system designs, including AI integration.
- Uphold all LCRCA policies and represent the Combined Authority professionally at meetings and events.
About The Person
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with a strong background in administration and business support. You will be qualified to NVQ Business Administration Level 3 (or hold equivalent experience), with at least five GCSEs, and ideally an ECDL qualification or equivalent. You will bring proven experience in administrative roles, including budget management and financial reporting, with the ability to analyse and present performance data clearly for management use. Confident in minute-taking (including use of Co-Pilot), scheduling meetings and managing complex diary commitments, you will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively. You will be highly proficient in current IT systems and applications, particularly Excel, alongside strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio, cloud-based applications and SharePoint. Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently, take initiative and proactively manage your workload in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will have experience working collaboratively across functions and feel confident developing strong, productive relationships with colleagues across different teams and departments. You will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal and professional growth, together with a clear understanding of equality, diversity and inclusive practices, promoting fairness, respect and accessibility in everything you do.
